Motivational Content Developer

Namaste friends and freelancers!

How have you been? Today I am going to talk about a very different topic. It is going to be more of talking to myself in introspection. I would also let you judge and tell me what you feel. It would be a nice thing if you can help me take this decision. Will you take part and give me feedback? Sure you will! I will be waiting for your comments.

To start with, let me give you some backdrop so that you know how I arrived at this thought. It happened so that I got an order for writing content for a motivational speaker on her blog. I loved the genre from the onset as it is something I liked doing and I thought to give it a go! I accepted the project.

I wrote some 10 to 15 articles for her in the last couple of weeks and I was surprised myself by the content that I could actually write for her. Obviously, as a freelancer, the content belongs to her but I wished that I would write such content for myself – for my blog – for my readers. And who knows, probably I can write a book solely on motivation!

Need Your Feedback: Motivational Content Developer

Well, that’s about it. That thought is what I wanted to share with you all and take your sincere feedback. What do you think? Shall I go about it – like, writing motivational posts here in my blog consistently? I have been doing so in bits and pieces and a regular reader of my blog knows that for sure. The freelancing mantra series has motivational posts which are actually dedicated to freelancers. I hope you have read those posts.

I was searching about writing blogs and then later converting the blog to a book, which is a brilliant idea, I am sure. It will give an opportunity to all the readers to have everything that is in the blog, sorted, segmented and presented in a precise manner which can help the reader in understanding the concepts. The video that I was watching, on YouTube, suggested to categorize the blog posts and in a way so that these categories can form the broad chapters in the book and the posts can become segments of those chapters. Isn’t that a wonderful suggestion? YES! I thought I should share this with you all too.

I am sure there are few among my awesome readers who would like to write a blog and then probably go on and publish those writings as a book as well. Precisely what I am trying to push here to do. If you are one, please leave a comment and we can seriously talk about it one to one if needed.

While writing those articles for my client, I realized that there are a lot of things that are within me which I should actually let out and share with the world. I am blessed that these thoughts came to me and now it is the time that I reconcile these thoughts and bring them out to the world. I know it is not going to be a walk in the park, but who wants to walk in the park after all? All that I am doing now or trying to do, is because I do not want to walk in the park anymore. Life has been good to me and I have been getting things that most cannot dream of. It becomes a moral responsibility to give back. And even otherwise, if life had not been so friendly and happy with me, I should be sharing things I have with all I can as I am able to do that.

So, here’s one to the new beginning! I hope the journey will be an awesome one. I am sure it will be. If not, we will try to make it awesome – together – what say?

As I said earlier, please let me know what you feel and do give me your feedback. I would love to hear from you.

Cheers!

Online Speech Recognition - Speech to Text Website

Namaste friends and freelancers!

How have you been? It's been a long time since I came here. Though I wanted to share with you about the various things that I am doing online, there is this one exciting new thing that I found out, which made me write this new article – rather “say” this article.

I knew that there was software like Dragon SpeechRecognition or Braina PRO and a few others that we have used during our college days. But I never knew that I can actually do it online. Here is a new website that I found out, which lets you speak and it converts your speech into text. So, whatever you can see here, was actually typed using that online website.

The name of the site is www.SpeechNotes.co. You can open the site, select the English that you are going to talk in, press that small microphone icon and start talking. When you talk, your speech will be converted into text, and it'll be typed on the notepad on the site itself. The Notepad is on the site and you do not have to open your own. Initially, you might face some problems while using this site like I'm experiencing now. But eventually as you use it more often, will be more acquainted with its features and it will be easier for you to convert your speech to text seamlessly.

This kind of speech to text recognition software is good for those who can talk very well and in a constructive and creative way but are not so good with typing a lot of text. So far, I am liking this website. Let me give you a good review to this site as I am using it.

So, this site looks like a normal website. I’m not sure if it is a WordPress site or created on some other platform. As of now, it's free, and it has a donate button on the top right corner where I suppose, you can deposit money into their PayPal account. On the left top of the page, you can find the temporary name of the Notepad that they've opened for you. Towards its left, there is a tool widget where you have some more options to open a Notepad, save and change settings. There are options to zoom in and zoom out on the page and also, I guess, you can Email your text from this website itself.

On the right-hand side, there is one more column with a few notations that we use very regularly. So, if I say PERIOD, it puts a full stop. If I say COMMA, it puts a ’,’ for you; a ‘?’ for a QUESTION MARK and so on. So, this column helps you while you are speaking and if you want to insert a special character you can just take help from this section and say those words, and it will insert that special character into your text.

This site looks very simple is very easy to use. Once you have the entire text ready, you can easily copy and paste it into a Microsoft Word document and check for any grammatical errors. This entire article has been written using this website. And once done, I used Microsoft Word to proofread and do a few minor changes that I wanted to the text. It's so fast & cool way to blog! So, I will suggest you guys check this website, and probably use it if you find it helpful. I may do a video soon on this topic as well. Stay tuned!

Cheers!

How to start with YouTube as a Business? – Part 2

Namaste friends and freelancers!

Continuing from where we left in the previous post, here are the five heads that we need to ponder upon before starting to create that very first video on our YouTube channel. You can read the first part here. Let's continue.

1. Your Niche

As a first step, find out what you are going to talk about in your YouTube videos. This is very important to know because you are going to position, brand and market your channel and your videos based on your niche. You may change every other aspect of your channel, but changing the niche of your channel after you have already published many videos, is not recommended by YouTube. So, research deeply and try to think of a future proof niche, that you are passionate about and can continue working on for years to come!

2. Format of your videos

Next, you need to decide on the format of your videos; which can be screen recording, picture slideshows along with voice over, simple audio like that in a podcast, a collection of videos, a collection of audio tracks, whiteboard animation videos or any other computer generated movies or  the regular talking head videos. While this is a very volatile point, as you can have multiple formats of videos in your YouTube channel, it is important for you to have a picture in your mind to add more details, when you start. You need to tell yourself that my videos are going to be of such and such format and occasionally I might include videos of a different format. This clarity in mind will help you again in positioning, branding and promote your YouTube channel and videos.

3. Distribution of work

Here, I would suggest that you think of a plan on how you will be publishing those videos. By distribution of work, I mean that you can decide on what part of the video making process will be done by you and how much work are you going to delegate or outsource to others. This is very important because you may not be skilled enough on each and every aspect of video making which may be required for your channel to flourish. I know many people who just shoot themselves in front of a camera, and rest of the post production work is done by someone else. If you also have a plan like this where you are involved only in half of the production process of your videos and delegate or outsource the rest to somebody else, you can do that as well. So, this is an important aspect that you can decide upon when you start initially.

4. Equipment

Based on what work you will be doing yourself and what you will be delegating to others, the next thing that you need to plan is the equipment that you need to acquire to produce your videos. This also depends on the format of your videos that you have planned already. If you are planning for screencast videos with voice over, you may only need to buy a mic for the audio while you can record the screen of your existing computer. If you want to make videos of high-end games you might also want to acquire a high-end computer, that lets you stream live. Similarly, if you are going to come in front of the camera, and talk to your audience directly, you might need a whole setup of lighting, audio, and camera. You might have to invest in good lights, high-end DSLR cameras, and high-quality audio recording system. You might have to take help while recording and producing the videos as well. Please keep that in mind.

5. Schedule

Next aspect of planning is to plan your schedule. You need to fix how frequently you are going to publish your videos. Based on your existing workload, the priorities in your professional and personal life and the niche that you are catering to, you can schedule the frequency of your videos – how many videos in a week? One of the basic requirement requirements to be successful on YouTube is to be consistent. If you have a consistent schedule and you stick to it, there are more chances that you will become a big and successful YouTuber in short time.

This is all that I have, for this first question on starting with YouTube as a Business. I will take up a new question in the next post of this series and try to answer that with as many details as I can. I am sure this will help everyone who is starting his career on YouTube. These 5 heads will obviously give a good start to your YouTube business. Do write in the comments and let me know if there are any additional questions. I love answering your queries.

Cheers!

How to start with YouTube as a Business? – Part 1

Namaste friends and freelancers!

All this while I was thinking that I will be writing on YouTube. I wanted to tell you a lot about my YouTube channels; how I am creating those videos, and how I go about planning for a video and publish those. YouTube has been a very big and lucrative source of passive income for last several years. Many people from all over the world have taken to YouTube to share their passion and skills. Many of them have done very well and are earning huge money from YouTube on a monthly basis, as well.

Man Proposes God Disposes!
Before I could plan a complete end to end series on YouTube, I got a request from one of my close friends, who is on the verge of starting his own YouTube channel. He wanted me to suggest him a plan and how he should go about creating his YouTube channel and wanted me to answer a few questions that he has now. I can understand the urgency of this request and hence, I was ready to answer all his queries on by one. However, on the second thought, together we decided that it would be beneficial for all my readers if I can answer these questions directly on my blog, rather than telling him one on one.

So, here I am with a few answers to some frequently asked questions on how to create a YouTube channel, how to run the channel successfully, and earn money through YouTube videos. In this post, I will take a question that he has and try to answer that with as many details as I can. It will be more like a question and answer session. So, without further delay, let's start.

The first question that my friend has is, how to start with YouTube business? The best part of this question is that he has mentioned the word BUSINESS in it. It is very important for us to take YouTube as a business. Unless we understand that whatever we are spending on YouTube is an investment towards our business, we will not be able to route all our resources into it, wholeheartedly. And if we do not route all our resources unreservedly, in terms of money, time and effort, it will be hard for us to be successful on YouTube. So, YouTube is essentially a business. Like in any other business, if you want to be successful, you will need to start with an investment - an investment of your time, your money and the effort that you put in. The first thing that we would need to start a successful business on YouTube is time and effort that we dedicate for RESEARCH. We need to research a lot to find our niche, that we can own, to establish our goals, that we can achieve, and come up with a working plan of action, that will take us beyond!

When I say ‘research,’ I mean completely knowing about YouTube. Before getting into YouTube, we should all understand how YouTube works and how we can make money on YouTube. There are a lot of videos in YouTube itself which can help you to get first-hand information about what YouTube is and how it works. Those videos are created by renowned YouTubers who are working on YouTube for more than decades now. Apart from watching YouTube videos, you can also read blogs like this one, where we can find good insights on YouTube. There are many dedicated YouTube blogs as well. And last but not the least, do not skip YouTube’s own academia. There is an ocean of useful information, tips, and tricks and proven methods on how to grow on YouTube.

For the absolute beginner, my first suggestion would be to research a lot on YouTube. Take YouTube as a business and do whatever it is needed to establish that business. Most of the YouTubers started alone. Eventually, as they grew, they got more people involved in their daily routine and even in the video creation and promotion process. If you are alone as my friend is, I would suggest that you start small, do small tasks one by one, but at the same time, keep your ambitions high. Here are a few heads that you can search online to get started with your research.

So, now that you know that we need to consider YouTube as a complete full-time business, I am going to give you 5 heads in the next post, which you need to research about while you start your YouTube business. These 5 points in order, are to be researched, given a structure and finalized if possible, before starting the creation of the very first video.

Cheers!
