However, redesigning an existing WordPress blog is not a very straight forward activity. It would be best if you had a solid plan and knowledge about setting up everything again so that you do not lose on your present ranking and probably better it.

For those who are not very savvy with blog designs, this is probably going to be a daunting task. And if you have had someone else do your blog earlier and now you are trying to do it yourself, then you can only pray that everything just falls in place.

Well, with that out of the way, let us head out to the series of video tutorials that I have lined up for you today. Let’s start to learn how to redesign an existing WordPress blog from scratch.

STEP 1: Preparing the existing blog

The very first step is to prepare the existing blog by observing carefully and removing the current content, plugins, themes, and other miscellaneous things that are not especially important for the new design in your mind.

In this following video, you will learn how to prepare your existing blog and get started with the process.

STEP 2: Installation of WordPress Themes and Plugins

In step 2, we will install the required WordPress themes and plugins. We already know which theme and plugins we are going to use for this new blog. It is a vital step in the process of redesigning an existing WordPress blog from scratch.

STEP 3: Duplicate Posts in WordPress using Plugin

This step may not be necessary if you already have many posts on your blog. However, if you do not have a substantial number of jobs in your blog, you may need at least 20-25 posts to design the blog, especially the archive page.

In this video, I will demonstrate how you can create a mock post and then duplicate it 20-25 times so that you have enough articles to design your blog. Once the design is complete, you can probably delete these mock posts and start posting your blog articles.

Sounds interesting, right? Yeah! Please check it out here.

STEP 4: Best Elementor Addons to Design Blog Archive Pages

When using the Elementor page builder plugin, you can choose to use the FREE version or the Elementor Pro version, if you want to invest a little bit on your blog and make it stand out.

However, many of us would want to probably create their first blog for free or invest less while redesigning an existing WordPress blog.

In that case, you would use the free version of Elementor. The free version of Elementor has a drawback that it does not allow you to edit the blog archive page, and hence, we would need some additional plugins – Elementor Addons – to design the blog archive pages.

In this video, I will show you the best Elementor addons, which can be used to design the blog archive pages. I am sure you will love this video tutorial.
