They ask me, "how do you get work on Fiverr?" Today I am going to talk about just that in this quick article. I will work on creating a video on this too and if I do, I will leave a link to that video at the end of this article too. Stay tuned!
This is a long time query of a lot of people who have joined Fiverr or are willing to try out the platform and see if they can earn anything substantial on it. I have been working on Fiverr for last 3 years and the journey has been quite motivating. Though there were a lot of ups and downs (I recently recovered from the biggest downfall of my career on Fiverr) the journey has been quite exciting.
There are a few ways to get work on Fiverr. However, it depends on what you want from the platform and how much are you able to handle at a given time.
- Buyer Requests: One of the most important places to find work is the Buyer Request Page. When you are in your Selling view, you can go to More >> Buyer Requests to visit the page where various buyers would post ads on what they are looking for. If anything matches your skills, you can send an offer to the buyer. You can send 10 offers per day.
- Organic Sale: Buyers who are browsing for sellers on Fiverr’s search pages can land up on your gig and place an order. This is an organic sale, as it is not initiated by you. However, for this, you must ensure that your gig ranks high on Fiverr Search Results. If your gig is not showing up in the first few pages of the search, the buyer may not be able to contact you.
- Repeat Sale: At times, an old buyer would buy your gig because he is impressed with your work. This is driven by your quality of work, but it is again not completely initiated by you. Hence, it is different from Organic Sale. Make sure you put in your best efforts to impress and delight the buyer so that he comes back to you for future requirements.
- Sales from Promotion: Many sellers promote themselves and their gigs on social media and other electronic media. It has helped them a lot too and they have got a lot of orders. However, promotions need you to invest some money. This is initiated by the seller and depends on the luck too. I do not feel that there can be a lot of sales generated from paid promotions. Social Media marketing is a different thing, in this matter.
I hope this helps. If you have any question regarding this or anything related to freelancing or earning money online, please feel free to ask. All the best!
